I am pleased to announce that strip 50 will be the conclusion to the second chapter of When In Ravenholm, and shortly after will be collected in a shiny new pdf format. The completed pdf will contain pages 25-50 of the series, a shiny new cover (see above), bonus strips, and who knows what else! Watch this space for more details!

I recently created a profile over at Machinima.com and uploaded UT: Blockbuster to my Films there hoping to increase the viewership a little bit. I haven't received many comments from Machinima's actual website, but as per the service agreement I "made" with them, they have been given license to redistribute Blockbuster as they please. I thought this was just meant to legally post the video on their website, but apparently this also includes adding Blockbuster to their massive YouTube playlist.
Since it was uploaded 6 days ago, it has been viewed over 17,000 times, and received 268 comments (covering 27 pages). There's a good amount of both positive and negative feedback, as well as several confused people. Outside of the comments from which I am able to learn something to adapt in future videos, I have discovered the following things:
1) There are a new generation of gamers who believe that the original Unreal Tournament must be UT2003.
2) We have evolved as a species from chain letters/emails to chain YouTube comments.
3) If we don't know what went into a movie, the credits at the end are not necessarily the first place we look.
4) There is a slim chance that I am responsible for this.
5) The person who comments first shall be worshiped as though they were a god.
It makes for an interesting read over though, and I am surprised and pleased to get that much feedback, positive, negative, or otherwise, within such a short time. Thanks all!

As you may have noticed, the pdf version of WIR is moving along. I've made a cover page, which is also available in wallpaper form in the download section here. The finished book will include:
Pages 1-24
Bonus Comic Strips
Humorous Advertisements
Guest Submissions from the Foxhole
Keep an eye out for the finished pdf and new comics!

Well, Blockbuster has been out for a couple of months now, and comic updates are coming along often enough, so perhaps its time for an update. After roughly 5 more pages, I will have finished the first storyline of When In Ravenholm (or as I've recently taken to calling it, WIR). Once that's done, I plan to compile the entire run into pdf format and call it "When In Ravenholm: Issue One", so that it'll be easier to download and read in a single sitting, if that strikes your fancy. I even have a couple of ideas rolling around in my head for extra features. I've got some more video ideas too, but life is keeping me away from that for the moment, so finishing up Issue One in the meantime will be the focus.
Also, I happened to glance at the site traffic, and apparently I'm getting 150-200 hits a week. That's awesome! Hello all! Enjoy your stay, and I hope you enjoy what's here! Also, don't forget to say hello in the forum or email me now and then, because I'm all about the feedback.

It's done. Click here.
A lot of work went into the making of this film. If you enjoyed it, please tell me what you liked about it in the Forums or by email at machinima@starfoxweb.com. If you didn't like it, tell me that too! I would like to continue making movies for this site, whether in this particular style, or something entirely new, and I would appreciate any constructive critisism and feedback you can offer.
I have created a "Film" box that will house the links for my movies. The links will redirect you to the public versions on YouTube. Starting with the "Blockbuster" movie, higher quality XVID versions will be available for download from the Foxhole Forums. Registering is free of charge, just click on the "Forums" link from this page, and you will find the download in the "Members Only Section".

It's been a little while since I posted a new comic, so not only do you get to read When In Ravenholm #10, but the first LOLSource, which popped into my head at some point today. True, kittens are arguably cuter then Team Fortress characters and headcrabs, but I hope they bring some amusement to your day.
Ravenholm #10 also marks my upping of the video resolution for the comic. Did you notice?
And now I'm off to play Left 4 Dead. Why aren't you doing the same?

A few bits of business:
To begin, as you may have noticed above, a new webcomic entitled "When In Ravenholm" is available from both this site and the Foxhole Forums. It is primarily my experiment with serial storytelling using Garry's Mod for Half-Life 2 and some basic image editing. The main site will display the latest page, while archived pages will be made available in the download section. I will continue making updates until I either complete the story or get tired and kill off the characters in a zombie-extravaganza. Excitement and adventure regardless!
Secondly, I am participating in the 24-gaming marathon "Extra Life", in which I play games for 24 hours, while sponsors support the effort. All profits support the Texas Children's Cancer Center. In Texas. If you'd like to support me, go to this link. Please note that credit card payments outside of the US are not supported unless through Paypal.
Lastly, the current video project requires the voices to be re-recorded, and this may take a while due to my own schedule and those of the voice actors. I will make a post when the video is finally finished.

My computer files are back, and work has resumed on the new video. If all goes well with the voice actor search, it should be ready for an April release. I'm very excited about this one, I've updated the Downloads section with new screen grabs as well, just to show that work is forthcoming.
